Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since 11 November 1996. Following her small debut part as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character in A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985), she went onto portray the Nazi-sympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donovan was Charlotte on Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody began modelling after being invited by an experienced photographer. It led to a successful professional career as a model for commercials. Doody did not wear fashion, thongs and glamour during her modeling career. When she was spotted by the director of casting in a James Bond movie, she was cast of A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody is listed within John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as being one of the 12 top actors of 1986. 38. At just 18 as she played the character Doody was - and remains one of the smallest Bond girl to date. A different early film was a small part as IRA member Siobhan Donovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) in which she featured Mickey Rourke. Doody appeared as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 television version of The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. Doody's first leading role came in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller in the role of Sapsorrow opposite John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she appeared alongside Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most recognizable performance to date was her role as Austrian Nazi sympathiser and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery in the film and played the role of her father in the film. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was in the spirit of a publication scam called The Hitler Diaries. She then moved to Hollywood. She went on as Flannery Charlie Sheen's agent as well as her girlfriend in Major League II. She was chosen to be the replacement for Cybill Shepherd who was once L'Oreal's spokeswoman. After nearly a decade from the screen Doody returned to acting by playing a minor role in the 2003's British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine acting as herself in an awards ceremony scene. Doody was a co-star, along alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version to King Solomon's Mines. Doody played a small role in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). Later, she guest-starred in the RTE Medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to be the star of the remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. Her first two seasons of Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. She also appeared on the show in 2014 as We Still Kill the Old Way. The film was awarded the Almeria film award on the 21st of November, 2018.
